The Gstaad auction has become a tradition in the auction calendar. On the same date every year, namely December 29, the classic car gallery from Toffen invites its customers to the internationally renowned winter sports paradise of Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland to auction off around 50 selected cars between Christmas and New Year.
It will happen again on December 29, 2022.
The first vehicles looking for new owners at the end of the year have already been named. They are all rare cars with a lot of charisma.
A Porsche Turbo 3.3 Cabriolet from the last year of construction is already whetting the appetite for next summer.
The SS 100 Jaguar 2 1/2 Litre from 1938 is one of the most sought-after pre-war sports cars and only a few hundred were ever built.
The Chevrolet Corvette C2 427 from 1966 (pictured above) is a brute of a car, more engine and sound is almost impossible, definitely not a car for the faint-hearted.
In comparison, the second Corvette, a C1 from 1962, looks much more sedate and is particularly rare due to its fuel injection.
Also already registered are a Jaguar E-Type as a V12 convertible and an Alfa Romeo 1900 as a 1951 Berlina. Two rare motorcycles are also already waiting for their turn in Gstaad.
Further "starting places" are still available. Anyone with an interesting classic car is welcome to contact Toffen. Now is the best time.
