The organizers of the London Classic Car Show have set a new date for their event due to corona. Instead of February 18-21, 2021 as originally planned, the show will now take place from June 25-27, 2021, around ten weeks after the originally planned date.
A new venue has also been found, Syon Park, which is located directly on the Thames. The event will therefore take place entirely outdoors. This is not only nicer, but also safer for everyone involved.
The industry breathes a sigh of relief
"We are grateful to those responsible for Syon Park for providing us with this data in July," says Mark Wooley, Show Director. "While we are confident that vaccinations and the warming summer will bring a gentle easing of the current guidelines, it seemed only prudent to take advantage of this opportunity."
Wooley says he has already spoken to some in the industry and they are all absolutely delighted with the new date. Many have clearly suffered from the pandemic and are happy to be able to resume their business in the summer and to be able to live out their passion for wonderful classics again.
More time for perfectionism
The postponement not only gives Wolley and his team a little more time to perfect the exhibition for visitors, the longer daylight hours and warm weather are also more suitable for an open-air event.
The London Classic Car Show will take visitors on a journey through 135 years of automotive design under the general motto "The Evolution of Design". There will be special shows celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lancia's pioneering Lambda and the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type, among others.
