On February 15, Goodtimer and Arthur's Cars opened a branch in the former halls of the Höhener coachbuilder in St. Gallen.
Where over 100 years ago car bodies were built on Lancia or Oldsmobile chassis, for example, the St. Gallen coachbuilder Ulrich Höhener and the St. Gallen car pioneer Hermann Widler once met to build special vehicles and make special orders. Hermann Widler, the great-grandfather of Goodtimer founder Marcel A. Widler, was the founder of the first car garage in St. Gallen and imported cars from Italy, the USA and France. The company, which existed until 1995, made a name for itself with brands such as Studebaker, Lancia and Bugatti.
In 2004, great-grandson Marcel founded Goodtimer, a specialist dealership for classic cars in St. Margrethen, 20 kilometers from his birthplace of St. Gallen. Today, the company is one of the largest full-service providers for classic cars. Nine employees take care of all services from import to MOT inspection, servicing, repairs and restoration to sales advice.
With the location in St. Gallen, Marcel A. Widler closes the historical circle of his family and invites you to the opening aperitif in the new small showroom on February 15, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. With his newly founded Arthur's Cars, Arthur Schneider will not only share the showroom space with Goodtimer, but will also take over the management of the branch.
With the St. Gallen location, the two classic car dealers Schneider and Widler have created a sales outlet that complements the large exhibition in St. Margrethen and where visitors can be informed about the 60 or so vehicles from the current range. Auction vehicles can also be viewed here. Whether in St. Margrethen or in St. Gallen - every car on offer is given a comprehensive expert appraisal to provide insight into its originality, history and condition.
