The new Dutch-Swiss auction format is taking shape: Under the name Swiss Auction Company, the online platform is now open to bidders and interested parties - for the first auction, dubbed "Extravaganza", which is to take place simultaneously at two locations and online at the end of September.
Richard Singh and Retonio Breitenmoser, also owners of the Dutch Auction Company, have gathered all the lots and - as reported - the auction will take place on September 28, 2024 for the first time as a networked classic car auction at two locations in two countries - with bids in the hall and the option to bid online. The main venue is Degersheim in Switzerland. The auctioneers will be present and bidding will of course also be possible on site.
An Aston Martin DB2/4 for CHF 200,000 starting bid
Highlights of the auction include a 2018 Ford GT with a starting bid from CHF 700,000, a very well-presented Maserati 3500 GT (1961) from CHF 190,000 or a top-restored Aston Martin DB2/4 (1954), which can be purchased from CHF 200,000.
Other special lots include a Cadillac Sixty-Two Convertible from 1959, a Rolls-Royce Phantom V from 1966, or an amazingly accurate replica of the famous Pontiac Firebird from "Knight-Rider", the successful US TV series of the 1980s, christened "K.I.T.T.".
A very special vehicle is the Maurer C87 BMW from 1987 as an "Art Car", which Walter Maurer painted and drove himself. The starting price is CHF 3 million.
Those who also like to go fast on the water can even bid on a Lamborghini Offshore Racing Cup Class 1 boat.
As a bidder
Anyone interested in bidding at the "Extravaganza" classic car auction can view the vehicles at Weierwiesstrasse 8 in Degersheim from September 25, 2024.
To bid, you must register here by September 27.
Those who do not wish to travel can place their bids for the object of desire on the Swiss Auction Company website from now until the end of the live auction on September 28, 2024. Registration is also required here by September 27 at the latest.
Bidding will also be possible on the same day at the second venue in Tilburg (Netherlands), where the Dutch Auction Company is based. The Tilburg bids will be streamed live to Degersheim at the same time.
