In Grüningen in the Zurich Oberland, a huge building complex, the new classic car competence center "Fahreinheit", was built in just over a year.
"The first tenants will be moving into the building with a total of more than 5,600 square meters of floor space this autumn," explains Christ Johann Collenberg, who is financing the project together with Marcel Wieduwilt.
More than half of the space is reserved for over 100 well-tempered and alarm-secured parking spaces as a "Classic Car Hotel"; this is even available as an all-round carefree "Valley Parking" package on request, in collaboration with Seegarage Portmann as a partner.
The vehicle is received centrally and, if necessary, checked, serviced or professionally maintained and cleaned. On request, it can even be delivered to your home for the next outing. For Portmann, this is a refinement of the services already offered in Meilen - but in future under the optimal conditions of the new building in Grüningen.
"The decision was therefore very easy," explains the well-known second-generation garage owner, who will be the first tenant to move his workshop team and restoration business to the "Fahreinheit" property in October - away from the long-standing location on Seestrasse in Obermeilen.
In addition to the workshop and plumbing, a paint store, Carrosserie- und Spritzwerke Grüningen, will also be moving in.
Spontaneously interested parties will have the opportunity to visit the construction site on the open day on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Further information can be found on the website of the new "Fahreinheit" competence center.
