SwissClassics Revue 112-6/2025/26 is available now. On 116 pages, you can read about the Bugatti Type 57 Graber, a passionate mechanic, the latest developments on the classic car market and the Lotus Elan S4 from 1970, as well as advice on buying the BMW 3 Series E36. As always, the vehicle market and the calendar of events are of course also included.
Bugatti Type 57 Graber
A Bugatti is always something special, more a work of art than an automobile. This is particularly true of the 1936 Bugatti Type 57 with Graber coachwork, because two masters of their craft came together here.
Screws with nail polish
Sarah Boller is a housewife, mother of twins and seamstress. But in her spare time, she also works on cars. Now she has started a series of short videos on Instagram to encourage other women not to be put off by mechanics and dirty fingers, even if, like her, you are not a trained mechanic.
Classic car market - quo vadis?
The classic car market is on the move: Older classics are stagnating in value, youngtimers are gaining. Collections are being broken up without new ones being built up, but a new group of buyers is entering the scene that is oriented towards cult objects... Those who want to sell need patience, those who want to buy need composure.
Lotus Elan S4 1970
There are not many car owners who remain loyal to their vehicle for over half a century. Roger Gasser is an exception: he bought his Lotus Elan as a four-year-old second-hand car for 7800 francs. That was 51 years ago. Back then, he was still a student and lived in a shared flat with a Döschwo-driving colleague. That is long gone, but he still drives the Elan today.
Buying advice BMW 3 Series E36
The range is wide, the prices affordable for most types, but perhaps not for much longer. Whether now is the right time to buy a third-generation three-series BMW (E36) and what you'll be taking on if you put such a vehicle in your garage can be found in the buying guide.
