From the farmer's diesel to the state coach - the Mercedes range is broad and produces a wide variety of cars. Auto Bild Klassik takes a closer look at six of these vehicles - 240 D, 300 SL, 600, C 111, 710 SS and a soon-to-be youngtimer. And these are by no means all the classics that Mercedes has to offer.

Ulrich Kubisch has collected hundreds of vehicles for the German Museum of Technology and knows many of them down to the last detail. The former reporter began his work at the Museum of Technology in 1984 and remained loyal to it for the rest of his professional life. He will retire at the end of this year.

Everyone is after ex-cop Kowalski in the cult movie "Vanishing Point San Francisco". He has to make it to the Pacific coast by the next morning in his Dodge Challenger. The abandoned gas station in the middle of the Utah desert has been a familiar backdrop ever since. The Auto Bild team followed Kowalski's route in the Dodge Challenger and then completed the journey (unlike Kowalski in the movie).
Endurance test - BMW 3.0 Si
The BMW drove to Bregenz, Bergisch Gladbach and Rügen, to Lake Garda, to the mouth of the Rhône, to the Netherlands, to the Nürburgring and to Saxony. He covered a good 45,000 km. In the one and a half years in which the Auto Bild editorial team was on the road with the car, the car was taken to heart, but it was also cursed again and again, because not everything worked as it should for a long time.

At first glance, the two Porsches could not be more different. Both the Master 429 and the 924 Carrera GT are equipped with 4 cylinders, a front engine and plenty of power. Convertible versus coupé is not an easy comparison, so you have to look a little more at the technical skills. In any case, both vehicles are fun to drive.
