As every year, a traditional museum festival will take place on Corpus Christi Day, June 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Autovision Museum in Altlussheim. Visitors can marvel at attractions from three centuries of automobility in the exhibition halls at half the admission price.
Another anniversary
After the Autovision Museum celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year, another anniversary is on the agenda this year: the 150th anniversary of the Neckarsulm Motor Works (NSU). The company began building knitting machines in 1873, before the bicycle boom that soon followed meant that the company soon turned its attention solely to vehicle construction.
The Autovision Museum has the world's largest pre-war exhibition of the brand and therefore has every reason to celebrate. Unique vehicles such as the NSU Landaulet or a motorized tricycle from 1904 are just some of the exhibits in this special pre-war exhibition that cannot be seen anywhere else.
In the museum's post-war exhibition, visitors can marvel at the almost complete product range of the Neckarsulm engine works, from the "little prince" to the Quickly, Lambretta scooters and the Ro 80, bringing back nostalgic memories of the long-gone era of the economic miracle.
Culinary delights, carriages and carousels in the open air
As every year, the well-coordinated A.H. team of the Altlussheim sports club will be providing food and drink (including coffee and cake, of course). Unplugged music will also be provided in the outdoor catering area. Once again this year, many classic car owners will be showcasing their beautiful vehicles as part of a structured outdoor exhibition in the adjacent Kurpfalzstrasse, which is cordoned off for this purpose. A carousel will also be set up for families with children on the section of road that is closed to traffic (including bicycles) on this day.
