For enthusiasts and all those who want to be inspired by the fascination of classic vehicles, the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is putting the spotlight on a piece of Swiss automotive history: from September 13 to October 5, 2025, the resort is presenting a special outdoor exhibition in the outdoor area of the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz. From September 13 to October 5, 2025, the resort, together with the Peter Monteverdi Automobile Foundation, the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne and friends of the Enzmann family, is presenting a special outdoor exhibition of the Monteverdi and Enzmann brands from the immediate post-war period in the outdoor area of the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz.
Selected models from the period from 1945 onwards will be on display, documenting various facets of Swiss automobile construction. These include the bright yellow Monteverdi High Speed 375 S, the rare Monteverdi Hai 450 SS, vehicles from the Enzmann brand and elegant special bodies made by the finest Swiss craftsmen.
The legacy of Monteverdi
Peter Monteverdi (1934-1998) is regarded as one of the few Swiss car manufacturers to have attracted international attention. From a workshop in Basel, he developed sports and luxury cars from the 1960s onwards that stood for innovative technology and striking design. His high-speed series and the Hai 450 SS are still among the best-known Swiss automotive icons today.
The exhibition offers insights into the work of Peter Monteverdi, whose sports and luxury cars not only made him famous beyond the country's borders, but also demonstrated the diversity and creativity of automobile construction in Switzerland.
The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz
Ragaz is a former farming village at the gateway to Graubünden, which became a spa resort after the discovery of a thermal spring in the nearby Tamina Gorge. Since then, the village has been known as Bad Ragaz. The region is also known as "Heidiland" - some drivers will be familiar with the highway service area of the same name. The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz comprises two five-star hotels and seven restaurants with a total of six Michelin stars (plus a Green Michelin star for sustainability). The Tamina thermal spa also ensures a relaxing stay.
