The current Covid-19 situation is currently making any longer-term planning difficult. In particular, it is difficult to estimate until when the number of participants at events in Switzerland, Austria and Italy will remain limited to the current extent.
Caution instead of forbearance
This uncertainty has prompted the RAID organization to postpone the traditional classic car rally in winter to 10 - 13 March 2021.
The optional prologue starts on March 10 in St. Margrethen (CH), the actual WinterRAID start on March 11 in Seefeld in Tyrol: Seefeld is the same distance from Zurich as the Engadine. This will be followed by two nights in Cortina d'Ampezzo before returning to the finish in Seefeld.
The registration deadline is now January 31, 2021.
"We are confident that we will be able to start on the new date. Everything is prepared for an exciting rally. And the months of February and March have been the snowiest periods in the Alps and Dolomites in recent years," said a spokesperson for the RAID organization.
