The special show that Lukas Hüni AG organized at the Rétromobile in 2013 in honour of the Citroën DS was a highlight of the classic car exhibition in Paris that visitors are sure to remember for years to come.
The collaboration between Rétromobile and Lukas Hüni AG will now continue in 2014 with a special Lancia show.
It is no coincidence that Lukas Hüni is presenting the Lancia brand, as he is deeply attached to the vehicles of Vincenco Lancia and his successors.
Some of the Italian manufacturer's most innovative and beautiful vehicles will be on display in Paris from February 5 to 9, 2014.
Lancia Lambda Series 3 Torpedo 1924
The Lancia Lambda was years ahead of its competitors. Thanks to a steel monocoque structure, an efficient V4 engine with a displacement of 2.1 liters, independent front suspension and brakes on all four wheels, the Lambda models were not only successful on normal roads but also in racing.
Lancia Aprilia Berlinetta Aerodinamica 1938
The Lancia Aprilia was ahead of its time, combining efficient aerodynamics (Cd value 0.47) with an efficient engine, a modern chassis with individually suspended wheels and a self-supporting body structure without a B-pillar.
Lancia Astura Series 4 Pininfarina Special Cabriolet 1939
The Lancia Astura was the avant-garde vehicle of the 1930s. Thanks to their low weight - a complete car weighed around 1250 kg - and V8 engine, the Astura models offered outstanding performance combined with a high level of comfort. Coachbuilders such as Pinin Farina designed elegant bodies.
Lancia D24 Barchetta 1954
While Vincenzo Lancia was not interested in racing, his son Gianni Lancia set up a motorsport department which, under the direction of engineer Vitorio Jano, developed the Lancia D24, a barchetta that was successful in the Mille Miglia, the Carrera Panamericana and the Targa Florio, among others. On display is the car that won the Targa under Taruffi in 1954.
Lancia Aurelia B20 1953
Vittorio Jano began to develop the Lancia Aurelia on a blank sheet of paper. The Aurelia was powered by the innovative V6 engine, which transmitted power via a gearbox (transaxle) located on the rear axle. The Aurelia was also successful in motorsport, winning the Targa Florio in 1952 and finishing third in the Mille Migla in the same year and second a year earlier.
Lancia Aurelia B24 S Spider America 1955
In 1955, Lancia presented the open-top Aurelia variant B24 S Spider America in Brussels. Breathtakingly beautiful, it is one of the most expensive Lancia collector's items today. This car became particularly famous because 181 left-hand drive versions disappeared into the depths of the sea on board the Andrea Doria in 1956.
Lancia Flaminia 2500 Sport Zagato 1959 (pre-series)
Zagato created a beautiful and lightweight coupé based on the Lancia Flaminia, which shared the powertrain with the Pininfarina saloon, the Pininfarina coupé and the touring cabriolet. In racing, however, the Flaminia models were less successful than their predecessors, but visually they are among the most beautiful Lancia models ever.
