Fascination and enthusiasm for Porsche vehicles have always been closely linked to the history of Porsche. This applies all the more to Porsche classics, of course, and Porsche Classic is passionate about their spare parts supply and thus their preservation.
With the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, Porsche Classic partners offer their customers the opportunity to have classic Porsche vehicles (from the 356 to the Carrera GT) technically inspected and to provide historical information.
Porsche Classic Technical Certificate
This certificate documents important production information and technical data about your classic Porsche. The Porsche Classic Technical Certificate contains original vehicle data at the time of delivery, such as production date, exterior and interior color and material as well as optional equipment. It also documents the engine and gearbox numbers and types currently in the vehicle and compares them with the original records.
The technical condition of your classic is also assessed with a comprehensive check. This assessment includes the inspection of various areas such as wheels and tires, drive system and engine compartment, fluids as well as exterior and interior. In addition to the technical inspection, the certificate includes photos of the exterior and interior of your classic. A detailed summary of the check by technicians trained by Porsche Classic is also included in this document.
What advantages does the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate offer?
Every Porsche Classic has a unique vehicle identification number (VIN), engine number, gearbox number and much more individual information at the time of production. This information can tell you a lot about your classic car and its history: When was it built? Where was it delivered to? Do the current engine and gearbox numbers match those at the time of production?
It is possible that over time, units of your classic have been replaced or the original information has been lost. There are few records that document all this important vehicle information. This makes it all the more difficult to find out the original vehicle data, which makes it all the more valuable.
By capturing and preserving historic Porsche documents, Porsche Classic is able to provide a great deal of original vehicle information about your classic Porsche. We are therefore pleased to be able to offer you the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate with immediate effect. If required, you can have your vehicle restored to first-class condition by certified technicians at a Porsche Classic Partner.
So there are many reasons to have a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate issued:
- Checking the engine and transmission number
- Verification of the engine and transmission type
- Information about the original equipment
- Helpful information basis for a restoration
- Verification of your own researched vehicle data
- Documentation of the current condition of the vehicle including professional pictures
- The option of having any defects you notice repaired directly by your Porsche Classic partner
- High-quality folder documenting the results and giving your vehicle a unique selling point
