The fireside chat in the Autohalle is a cooperation between Zwischengas and the Autohalle Andelfingen north of Zurich. High up in the Cigar Lounge of the Autohalle, Bruno von Rotz, Zwischengas editor-in-chief, meets interesting personalities from the world of classic/youngtimers and historic racing, our greatest passion.
From the life of racing photographer Daniel Reinhard
Anyone who has looked at racing pictures in major automobile magazines over the last 70 years or so will be familiar with the photos of Josef and Daniel Reinhard. Whether Powerslide, Automobil Revue, Auto Motor und Sport or Sport Auto, the thrilling photos of father and son Reinhard were to be found everywhere. Daniel Reinhard alone has photographed over 500 Formula 1 Grand Prix races, as well as sports car and touring car races and rallies. It goes without saying that this has resulted in an impressive photo archive. But how has photography changed during this time? What was the experience at the racetrack in the sixties or seventies and how do the impressions of today differ from those of back then? What were the racing greats like back then and how different are the modern stars of the scene? And what has the digitalization of photography changed in this context? Daniel Reinhard provides Bruno von Rotz with information in the third fireside chat in the Autohalle Andelfingen on May 18, 2022 and also shows some samples of his work based on his new book "Inside Formula 1".
