Striking round headlights, an eye-catching radiator grille, a shapely body in gleaming silver and special equipment that has it all - this is how not only film fans know and love the unmistakable Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger (1964). Probably the most famous Bond car is rightly regarded as an iconographic element of the film series. Now a Playmobil model is being released under item number 70578 - with James Bond, Auric Goldfinger and Oddjob.
Nice to have you on board, Mr. Bond
In Goldfinger, the third James Bond film, Agent 007, in the service of Her Majesty, meets the eccentric Auric Goldfinger, who is supported by his loyal henchman Oddjob and his numerous henchmen. Eliminating these adversaries will not be easy, but thanks to his Aston Martin DB5, which was designed by the Q department, Bond ultimately triumphs. And so begins a relationship between man and machine that has since spanned eight Bond films and 60 years of cinema history...
Movie legend for the home
Other features include the triple interchangeable license plates, the extendable, bullet-proof armoured bulkhead behind the rear window and the extendable ramming horns on the bumpers. Four figures travel with it: Agent 007 himself as well as his adversaries Goldfinger and Oddjob and a henchman. The James Bond Aston Martin DB5 from Playmobil will be available from mid-October.
