The 28th edition of InterClassics Maastricht, which was to have taken place at MECC Maastricht from January 13 to 16, 2022, has been postponed. The trade fair is still scheduled to take place in 2022, the final date will be announced shortly.
Due to the ongoing problems with the coronavirus, the organization has no choice but to postpone the fair again. The health of participants and visitors always comes first. In addition, the quality of the fair is not guaranteed due to the uncertainty regarding future measures.
InterClassics 2.0
Car enthusiasts have known InterClassics for years as the organizer of well-known and new events such as InterClassics Maastricht, InterClassics Brussels, Days of Elegance and the brand new Youngtimer Show. This variety of different car events has awakened the ambition to look beyond the pure events. The InterClassics team has used the lockdown to realize this dream. 2022 will be the year in which InterClassics makes the transition to a "year-round brand". As a result, InterClassics immediately springs to mind when thinking about classic cars.
In order to strengthen the brand's recognition value, a new corporate identity will be introduced. In addition, the organization will set up an overarching website on which visitors will be entertained, informed and activated 365 days a year - always with classic cars as the starting point. Own (online) content is the driving force behind this new concept, such as blogs, videos and InterClassics articles from renowned car magazines.
Dutch Grand Prix Classics - the cars, the legends
InterClassics Maastricht will look back on the highlights of the Dutch Grand Prix in 2022. The last, now penultimate, F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort took place on August 25, 1985. Fortunately, the wait for the 2021 race was more than worth it! Thanks to Max Verstappen's pole position and victory, racing fans could hardly believe their luck. In collaboration with various museums and private collectors, InterClassics will present a unique collection of F1 cars from the history of Formula 1 at Circuit Zandvoort.
The classic car fair InterClassics Maastricht traditionally attracts many buyers and enthusiasts. With 35,000 square meters of exhibition space, more than 800 classic cars and 300 exhibitors, it is one of the largest classic car events in Europe. All registrations and admission tickets for the "January 2021 edition" remain valid.
