Swiss Classic World and the Swiss Museum of Transport are looking for pre-war vehicles (built up to 1949) for the "Harder than Steel" event. The new adventure tour starts on June 2, 2024 at 09:30 a.m. from the Swiss Museum of Transport's Rain depot to the Swiss Classic Car Show in Lucerne.
The 88-kilometre route takes us on a route with little traffic along Lake Baldeggersee, Lake Hallwilersee and Lake Sempachersee. The route then takes us via country roads and the Renggloch to Lucerne on the Allmend and to the Swiss Classic World exhibition, where the vehicles are presented to the public in front of the halls.

The Harder than Steel event is an adventure drive for pre-war vehicles only (built up to 1949) on an attractive route with few bends that leads from the Swiss Museum of Transport's outdoor storage area (A) to the Swiss Classic World trade fair (J).

One-day program on 2 June 2024

Arrival at the Swiss Museum of Transport outdoor storage facility in Rain, parking of the vehicles Registration, handover of participant documents incl. tickets for the trade fair, presentation of the vehicles (speaker), coffee and croissants - 09:30:
Start of the joint drive - 11:30:
Arrival in front of the Lucerne exhibition halls, display of the vehicles in front of the exhibition halls, visit to the trade fair, individual journey home - 17:00:
Closing of the Swiss Classic World
Only vehicles built up to 1949 are eligible to participate. The entry fee is CHF 30 per vehicle (driver & co-driver). Payment will be made on site in cash or by Twint. Included in the entry fee is the organization, the welcome coffee with croissants, the breakdown service (Carplanet Galliker Garagen Kriens), the paring at the fair and two entries to the Swiss Classic World Fair.
