The countdown has begun: less than two months to go until one of the most eagerly awaited motorsport events of the season in the Leventina Valley and the Gotthard region. We are talking about the "Gottardo Classic", which is entering its fifth edition this year.
Judging by the numerous registrations that have already been received, the Gotthard Classic 2023 will once again offer a diverse field of participants. This year, more than 100 teams and cars are expected not only from Ticino, but also from central Switzerland and the neighboring peninsula in boot form. The grounds of the Gottardo Arena adjacent to the event venue offer the opportunity to use the ice rink as an additional space.
The all-day program is dedicated to the passion for this fascinating landscape and for the most beautiful classic cars: a tried and tested concept, various routes with breathtaking views and the opportunity to take part in competitions, complemented by culinary delights and carefree moments for those who choose to spend the day in the grounds of the Gottardo Arena instead of behind the wheel.
For those who do not wish to take part in the rally, a professional driving simulator and various surprise activities will be available in the coming weeks. There will also be a guided tour of the Gottardo Arena in the afternoon.
Preliminary program
- from 8:00 am: Check-in, welcome coffee, route briefing (short and long route)
- from 9:00 am: start of the tour
- 13:00 - 15:00: Lunch with local specialties in the Gottardo Arena
- from 15:00: Race briefing and start of the race
- 17:30 - 18:30: Award ceremony, greetings and aperitif
