Illustrator and author Jens Conrad, who was in charge of curating the special exhibition, will guide visitors through the exhibition "Motor racing in the GDR" on January 14 at 2 pm and on January 28 at 11 am.
The special exhibition focuses on motor racing as it was practiced in the GDR. Hundreds of active drivers competed in impressive motorsport, watched by thousands of fans. Formula and touring cars battled for the best position on the circuit or in the mountains.
The new special exhibition shows an interesting cross-section of these racing cars - from the K-car to the Melkus monoposto and the Renntrabant.

The book presentation of the work: Meister mit zwei Kerzen Trabant Rennsport in der DDR, by Jens Conrad on January 11 at 18:30, offers an even deeper insight into GDR racing.
