Every year, a FIVA member country organizes a world rally. In 2015, this will take place in Switzerland. The FIVA World Rally, in 2015 from Saturday June 27 to Saturday July 4, is the best opportunity to get to know Switzerland from its most beautiful side in a classic car.
Leisurely rally ride through the whole of Switzerland
Relatively easy daily programs, no regularity tests, but enough time for intermediate stops with sightseeing and cultural encounters, should offer the teams interesting variety.
A varied route
After starting in the beautiful city of Basel, the participants will experience the impressive area around Lake Lucerne, attend an organ concert in Einsiedeln Abbey and ride over the famous Klausen Pass. Crossing the Gotthard Pass, the classic car drivers reach the source of Europe's water sources, the Rhine, the Reuss, the Ticino and, of course, the Rhone.
In the morning of the following day, we go shopping in Lugano, followed by a varied drive via the Nufenen and Grimsel Pass. A stroll through the sophisticated town of Gstaad follows in the afternoon. The tour concludes with a trip to French-speaking French-speaking Switzerland with a steamboat trip on Lake Neuchâtel and a visit to the unique Renaud Collection. In the evening, you can feast at the gala dinner in the world-famous Palace Hotel to round off this week's vacation in Switzerland.
Swiss diversity paired with luxury
Two nights in each of the 4- or 5-star hotels make the rally attractive even for discerning types, and the three language and cultural changes are an additional attraction. To illustrate this, a participant could buy a postcard in Swiss-German, purchase a postage stamp in Italian and hand it over to the French-speaking post office for delivery - all in three days. Of course, the regional diversity of culinary specialties is also taken into account.
Conditions of participation
All vehicles built up to 1970 in Fiva categories A to F are eligible.
Flat-rate costs
The FIVA World Rally costs CHF 5'850.- per team (2 persons) in a double room, CHF 3'850.- in a single room. The price includes various meals as well as mineral water, coffee and wine where possible, the farewell brunch at the Gstaad Palace, rally signs, breakdown assistance, luggage transport, the boat trips (Lake Lugano and Lake Neuchâtel), the excursion on the funicular railroad to San Salvatore, road book, road map, bus transfers in Lugano, all entrance fees and sightseeing.
Thanks to some generous sponsors, the costs for participants are quite reasonable in comparison to the services offered. The entire organizing committee works on a voluntary basis and free of charge.

So far, registrations have been received from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. You too can register for the one-week "vacation rally trip" through Switzerland.
