Some very interesting cars and personalities have registered for the first Kerenzerberg Revival from May 29 to 31, 2015. The starting field is unique and the organizers are hoping for a successful first edition of the revival.
Excellent field of participants
The field of participants for the first Kerenzerberg Revival has been determined: over 150 participants have registered with their classic cars. The mix of pre-war and post-war vehicles, as well as the proportion of single and two-seater racing and sports cars, is unique.
The organizers are pleased that the international focus has also been successful. Over ten Brits come to Glarus to get to know the unique race track on the Kerenzerberg.
The organizers are delighted to have two big names at the start with Gody Naef and Karl Foitek. But car racing patron Fredy Lienhard is also bringing a treat to the start with his Ferrari 333 SP. And Peter Sauber is also expected to be on site on Saturday and Sunday!
Former champion Eugen Strähl will present his former Swiss championship car, a March 76, to the public. This March, together with the Sauber C3 driven by Peter Wyss, comes from the vehicle collection of Fredy Lienhard's Autobau in Romanshorn. The public will be thrilled to see what other rarities will be on display at Kerenzerberg on May 30 and 31.
New parking lot concept
In order to comply with cantonal regulations, event organizers are now obliged to draw up a parking concept in accordance with an information sheet. This led to unexpected additional costs and resulted in a price of CHF 30 per vehicle including the program booklet.
A shuttle bus will run constantly between the parking lot, paddock and starting area. However, access to the paddock and the race track remains free of charge in any case.
Public transport connections to Glarnerland
The Glarnerland is also easily accessible by public transport. The drop-off station for visitors to the Kerenzerberg Revival is Näfels/Mollis.
