From November 6 to 8, 2015, the first edition of InterClassics Brussels will be held at the Brussels Expo trade fair complex. For three days, the European capital will be the home of the most beautiful and exclusive classic cars in the world, as well as everything to do with cars and car parts. InterClassics Brussels is set to become the largest classic car event in Belgium and is therefore a must for every classic car fan in the catchment area of the Belgian capital. Both for the potential buyer, the amateur and the fan who wants to experience a great day out.
Proven recipe for success
With a good 22 years of experience in organizing InterClassics Maastricht, the organization of InterClassics Brussels knows exactly what is important. In addition to the successful trade fair in Maastricht (14 - 17 January 2016), an expansion option was sought in order to familiarize the Belgian and northern French market with the InterClassics concept at close quarters. The ideal partner was found in Expo Brussels, which offers a magnificent monumental building in a city with international flair.
In addition, Expo Brussels offers the largest exhibition park in Belgium. The 22,000 m2 exhibition area offers plenty of space for over 200 exhibitors and around 20,000 expected visitors. In Brussels, the organizers will remain true to the concept of InterClassics Maastricht. InterClassics Brussels will be a high-quality trade fair with a suitable ambience and outstanding presentation. The top segment of the market in the car trade will be presented, as well as a show section with Bugatti as the main theme. It is therefore a genuine trade fair for classic vehicles, at which numerous cars will also change hands and various car parts and similar items will be on sale. In addition, two major themes will be in the spotlight at the first edition: the history of the famous Bugatti and the history of 60 years of the Citroën DS.
Art on wheels
Bugatti is one of the car brands that is unique in every respect. The man behind the magical history of this pioneering sports car brand is Ettore Bugatti. The founder of the legendary brand came from an artistic family and developed a great passion for technology at an early age. In 1909, the Italian with French nationality founded his company Automobiles Ettore Bugatti.
His pursuit of technical perfection led to real miracles in motor racing. Bugatti set standards and achieved great success in the history of motor racing, but never denied his origins. His legendary designs were literally "art on wheels". The history of this famous car brand is presented at the trade fair with around 20 Bugatti models. The Citroën DS celebrates its 60th birthday
The Citroën DS was presented for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in October 1955. With headlines such as "Vehicle from Mars" or "La Bombe Citroën", car reporters were overflowing with enthusiasm. On the very first day of the Salon d'Automobile, 12,000 orders were received for the Citroën DS19 - an absolute record that has never been broken and will probably never be surpassed by any other car brand.
The model was and still is a unique design in terms of its shape and technical innovations. Never before had so many technical innovations been implemented in one vehicle at the same time. It is no coincidence that the "Goddess" was named the most advanced technical innovation of the twentieth century in 2001. The themed pavilion celebrating 60 years of the Citroën DS presents the history of this unique classic.
