From July 9 to 11, the quattro legend celebrates its tenth anniversary - to mark the 35th anniversary of the quattro drive, a new era will be heralded on a completely new track in St. Gilgen: 150 Audi quattros, including 30 rally cars, some of which are extremely rare, will make the hearts of quattro fans beat faster! Stars from the scene will also be on hand to share their love of the cult quattro car and get in touch with the fans.
The Audi quattro is probably one of the most famous rally cars in the history of this fascinating sport. The "quattrolegende" event pays homage to the cult car Audi quattro, the first all-wheel drive vehicle in motorsport.
What is the quattrolegende?
At the quattrolegende, enthusiasts, fans and friends of the Audi quattro meet once a year to perform together, be present and simply have a good time together, says founder Peter Reischl.
10 years of quattrolegende
The quattrolegende was born in 2005, when 30 Audi quattros drove around Admont as part of the ARBÖ Classic, before being held as a separate event in subsequent years.
In 2012, the quattrolegende took place for the first time in Berchtesgarden with around 80 original quattros from all over Europe. This year, the quattrolegende is taking place for the first time in St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang on a completely new route.
The highlights
During the three days of the quattrolegende, there will be a historic quattro exhibition on the lakeside promenade in St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee, where fans can see the cult cars up close and even take a seat in them.
Audi will also be presenting its latest achievements, and Porsche Austria will also be showcasing its most recent "delicacies".
On Friday, July 10, the international urquattro meeting will take place on the Tauplitzalm, where around 200 different Audi quattros are expected. And last but not least, the quattro legend race will take place on Saturday, July 11 - a regularity and demonstration drive over a 2 km long mountain course up to the Postalm. There, fans can chat with the stars and see the historic cars in action.
