The Veterama classic car market in Mannheim, Europe's largest meeting place for classic car enthusiasts, is celebrating a very special anniversary this year: 50 years of automotive history, passion and spare parts culture.
It is quite something that the Veterama concept has become a cult event without unnecessary vanity and without a red carpet, which has survived for half a century and has steadily gained in charm.
A paradise for classic car enthusiasts
From October 10 to 12, 2025, the Maimarkt grounds in Mannheim will once again be transformed into a paradise for classic car enthusiasts from all over Europe.
In 1975, Winfried A. Seidel and Walter Metz gave the starting signal...
What began in 1975 as a small swap meet is now the largest open-air classic car fair in Europe with over 4000 exhibitors and around 50,000 visitors.
Of course, Veterama also has indoor spaces, which this year are also completely filled with vehicles. A number of clubs present themselves and have special models to mark the anniversary, for example.
Many highlights for the anniversary
Veterama is celebrating its 50th anniversary with numerous anniversary events. The anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday from 6 p.m. in the catering tent. The exhibitors will receive a souvenir. This will then become a memento for the next 50 years.
The focus will be on the large vehicle marketplace, where over 500 complete vehicles will be offered for sale - from restored classics to rare rarities in their original condition. Two and four-wheelers from all eras and price categories will make collectors' hearts beat faster.
The "Veterama Early Bird Ticket" is new. At the request of many Veterama customers, this is now finally possible. The Early Bird Ticket allows you to visit on Friday only. The Premium Ticket is then available for Friday to Sunday, as usual.
Admission tickets are now available online - convenient and contactless. Early bookers save time on admission.

Something for everyone...
Whether you are a mechanic looking for rare spare parts, a collector of rare brands or simply a fan of automotive history: Veterama is the meeting place for the scene. Here you will find an atmosphere like no other market. The extensive grounds, covering over 260,000 square meters, offer space for dealers, clubs and visitors from all over Europe - and all this in an unmistakable setting. Early in the morning, fog usually hovers over the site and traders slowly prepare for the stream of visitors, because the early bird catches the worm.
