The official Rétromobile 2024 poster previews the British theme of the central exhibition at the next edition of the French showcase event for collector car enthusiasts. As MG celebrates its centenary this year, the Rétromobile will offer visitors the opportunity to (re)discover the famous British brand through a series of original documents and vehicles that have never been exhibited in France before.
MG - a monument to British automotive history
As the holder of numerous international records in prestigious races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Tourist Trophy, the Monte-Carlo Rally or the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome, MG achieved worldwide fame in motorsport in the middle of the 20th century. In an exhibition of a dozen vehicles organized in collaboration with the MG Club de France and the British Motor Museum, visitors can discover some unique models from the museum, including the old MG Number One from 1925 and the MG EX135 from 1938.
As a tribute to the 2024 Rétromobile poster, the 1957 MG EX181, which was driven by Stirling Moss and Phil Hill at the time, will be on display in the central exhibition under the glass roof of Pavilion 1.

Finally, the manufacturer MG, now part of the SAIC Group, will be at the show to celebrate its centenary with a retrospective on its stand dedicated to the brand's roadsters.
"The MG story began in an Oxford suburb in 1924, and from the outset the cars designed by the talented Cecil Kimber were the product of relentless hard work that quickly won the hearts of enthusiasts. Where better to express this passion than at Rétromobile, where you can celebrate a hundred years of automotive history under the sign of driving pleasure? The work of the Rétromobile teams will allow visitors to discover or rediscover the exceptional vehicles that have marked our history, broken records and won legendary races," explains Clément Lefèvre, Head of Public Relations at MG Motor France.
Exceptional and international
"For the 48th edition of the fair, it was natural to celebrate the centenary of the MG brand. The brand has been a true flagship of British industry in its time, excelling in the world's biggest competitions and record-breaking events. But MG is not only synonymous with performance, it is also synonymous with chic, affordable roadsters that are coveted by many collectors today and which we are delighted to welcome to Rétromobile. We are also very proud of this new partnership with the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, UK, which houses the world's largest collection of classic British cars. This agreement symbolizes the exhibition's ambition to offer its visitors more and more exceptional vehicles and underlines its international profile. I would like to thank Stephen Laing and Jeff Coope, respectively Head of Collections and Managing Director of the British Motor Museum, for their support," says Romain Grabowski, Directeur de Rétromobile.
The Rétromobile 2024 will take place from January 31 to February 4. Further information on this classic car fair can be found on the event's website.
