The Bremen Classic Motorshow will open its doors from January 31 to February 2, 2025 and will once again appeal to the next generation of the classic car scene by actively involving them in the event.
Project manager Frank Ruge puts it in a nutshell: "We want to talk not about but with the next generation of classic car enthusiasts and also give them scope to shape the content."
The event combines different approaches to make it as easy as possible to enter the classic car scene and at the same time bring a breath of fresh air into the scene.
Another dedicated area for young classic car fans
For the second time, there will be a special dedicated area at the show designed by young classic car fans. Here, the Bremen Classic Motorshow team leaves everything to the young talents: From the selection of themes to the presentation of the vehicles and on-site activities, the design is entirely in the hands of the young scene.
This year's theme is "Newcomers". How can you get into the classic car scene with a small budget and without a lot of know-how? The young organizers know exactly what they are talking about, as they recently faced these questions themselves. Advice for beginners, live mechanic activities and special exhibition vehicles provide inspiration and practical tips.
Authentic insights and live experiences
One of the highlights of the young talent area is the live mechanic action. A Mercedes-Benz W124 model series will be worked on on site, and visitors will be able to look over the shoulders of the young mechanics and ask questions.
The program is complemented by inspiring stories: For example, a young participant will be showing his restored Ford Escort XR3i, which he got back on the road for driving in two years as a "barn find" with a minimal budget and without much technical knowledge.
Special shows as a bridge to the next generation
The popular special shows at the Bremen Classic Motorshow also pick up on the theme of young talent. This year's special show Auto is dedicated to high-performance cars from Japan - vehicles that not only appeal to a younger audience, but also open up new perspectives on the world of classic cars. The focus of the special show is on cars from the 80s and 90s, which are sporty, powerful and iconically revered by many. For the first time, there will be four exhibitors who are under 35 years old.
Young Japanese car scene shows diversity
The exhibition halls will also feature a separate exhibition area for the young scene of classic Japanese cars. This is where participants present their vehicles - from original, preserved models to individually designed conversions. The focus is not on purism, but on the passion and creativity of the scene. Whether original or modified, tuned or in factory condition - the decisive factor is that the vehicles reflect the enthusiasm of their owners. What counts is what the young enthusiasts like, and this openness is what makes the exhibition so unique.
Integrated into the planning
The Bremen Classic Motorshow also involves young classic car enthusiasts much more closely in the planning of the show. In the run-up to the show, the Bremen Classic Motorshow team put out a call via Instagram to find out which cars are particularly beginner-friendly. Many of the cars named by the young community can now be seen in the exhibition or purchased at the show and in the vehicle exchange in the parking garage. The expertise of the young enthusiasts also played a central role in the classic car newcomer area.
Dialogue between the generations
With these concepts, the Bremen Classic Motorshow creates a lively exchange between the generations. "The young enthusiasts bring a breath of fresh air to the scene and show how lively and diverse the classic car world is," explains Frank Ruge. By deliberately creating space for new ideas and perspectives, the trade fair becomes a place where the passion for classic vehicles is passed on and experienced together.
With its commitment to the next generation, the Bremen Classic Motorshow proves once again why it is far more than just an exhibition - it is a meeting place, a platform and a place of inspiration for all generations.
