Until recently, the famous Ferrari Modulo was part of Pininfarina's collection. Now the American Ferrari and Pininfarina enthusiast Jim Glickenhaus - who also owns the Dino 206 Competizione prototype from 1967 - has persuaded Pininfarina to sell the prototype.
And that is not the end of it. Glickenhaus has announced that it intends to make the Ferrari Modulo drivable and to appear at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2016 and drive it around the gravel track.
As is well known, the technical basis of the Modulo is the Ferrari 512S racing car and it is likely to be quite a challenge to get the technology up and running again. In addition, some details are missing inside, which will probably also have to be reproduced.
We can look forward to the beauty contest in Como in 2016.
