In East Westphalia, people don't tend to brag with superlatives. This also applies to Delius Klasing Verlag from Bielefeld. However, as the media company looks back on its 111-year history in the coming year, there is a certain amount of pride to be felt. After all, with its media milestones, the family business is one of the leading special interest publishers in Europe.
Broad publishing program
Next year, the family business, which is managed by Konrad Delius and Nils Oberschelp, will be celebrating its 111th birthday. 18 magazine brands - in addition to BIKE and YACHT, these include "Gute Fahrt", "Porsche Klassik" and "Curves" - provide readers and users with content on the print and digital media channels.
The book publisher's program includes around 1300 available printed titles and more than 600 e-books. Its bestseller "Die Seemannschaft" has been published since 1929 and is currently in its 32nd edition. The company also organizes around 30 of its own events tailored to its various target groups.
Since 2018, the publishing house Die Werkstatt, one of the largest sports book publishers in the German-speaking world, has been part of the Delius Klasing publishing group, which has locations in Bielefeld, Hamburg and Munich.
Exciting spring program 2022
Delius Klasing is kicking off its anniversary year with the presentation of its spring 2022 program, which includes around 40 new titles, and the special interest experts from Bielefeld have a lot planned for this year. The focus is on the further expansion of a cross-divisional digital strategy with the clear aim of securing and expanding the publisher's leading position at all media levels.
