This year's Silverstone Classic, which takes place from July 20-22, celebrates the 60th anniversary of one of the UK's most popular racing series - the MSA British Touring Car Championship - with the biggest ever tribute to racing touring cars.
The first of a series of announcements is the return of "Tin Top Sunday". Tin Top Sunday on July 22 is a must for touring car fans of all ages, as the action-packed race program features four magical races for nearly 200 of the legendary BTCC cars of eras past.
To present the maximum spectrum of the epic championship's 60-year history, the selected grids will spotlight four very different generations.
"The four impressive grids on Tin Top Sunday will be a wonderful tribute to 60 memorable years of great BTCC action," enthused Nick Wigley, CEO of Goose Live Events, organizers of the Silverstone Classic.
In addition to the festivities, a large number of past and present BTCC star drivers will be attending the celebration. Indeed, many notable touring car aces have become regular competitors at the Silverstone Festival and fans can expect a strong turnout in 2018.
Fans wishing to attend the Diamond Jubilee Party must purchase their tickets in advance. Those who purchase before March 31 can take advantage of a number of Early Bird offers.
