To mark the 75th anniversary of the Stuttgart-based company, Catawiki has put together a selection of 22 Porsche models that are now going under the hammer online. Until June 30, 21 sports cars from Zuffenhausen and a tractor from Friedrichshafen will be auctioned off.
11x911
Of course, the Porsche par excellence makes up half of the offer: the 911. From the filigree original coupé to the modern 997.2, almost every generation is represented. Surprisingly, only the 964 is missing. The oldest 911 in the auction is a cream-white 911 T from 1970, estimated at 103,000 to 115,000 euros.
The most recent 911 was valued at just over half this amount: a dark red Carrera S from 2008, which is said to be worth between 59,500 and 65,500 euros. The most expensive 911 is a 911 GT3 RS from 2004, a white coupé with red accents estimated at between 210,000 and 231,000 euros.
Only the oldest car on offer is more expensive: a 356 Cabriolet from 1953. According to the Catawiki expert, the "bent windshield" in elegant dark gray with red upholstery and a light brown soft top is worth between 235,000 and 260,000 euros.
The three other 356s in the auction are all late C coupés from 1963 to 1965. They are expected to go for between 81,500 and 102,000 euros, with the only SC interestingly being the lowest priced of the three 356s.
Niche models cheaper
The link between the 356 and 911 - the 912 - is also represented once. As a 1967 model, the slate gray US specimen is still one of the early cars with a short wheelbase. The coupé was estimated at 61,500 to 67,000 euros.
The three Porsche 944s were estimated to be the cheapest. An S2 Coupé and a 1989 Cabriolet are almost on a par at 27,500 to 31,000 euros and 26,500 to 29,500 euros respectively. The price breaker is a 944 Turbo from 1986, which was valued at just €13,250 - €14,750, but also gives the impression of being a mediocre used car.
This makes the front-engined coupé significantly cheaper than the only tractor in the auction. The Porsche diesel P 122 from 1956 is said to be worth between 23,500 and 26,000 euros.
Also worth mentioning is a replica of a Carrera RS based on a 911 SC 1979, which at least looks good, but with an estimated value of 110,000 to 122,500 euros is far cheaper than an original.
Speaking of far cheaper: Although a minimum price is required for all 22 Porsches, the chances of finding a bargain are certainly higher here than at RM/Sotheby's. Detailed descriptions of the individual lots and many more photos can be found on Catawiki.
