When the International Consumer Electronics Fair opens its doors from September 5 to 9, 2025, Blaupunkt will be presenting the perfect symbiosis of nostalgic design and modern technology. The focus will be on the premiere of the retro car radio Frankfurt Stereo MB - visually an original from the 70s, technically a state-of-the-art device. In addition to a whole series of radios for vintage and classic cars, the brand with the blue dot is also bringing the versatile Cape Town 948 DAB car multimedia system with swivel display and the latest Fridel and Fiene e-bike models to Berlin.
Frankfurt Stereo MB
With the classic dimensions of the axle units from the 1970s, rotary and push buttons and the striking pinstripe front with chrome frame, the Frankfurt Stereo MB exudes authentic retro charm in the classic car cockpit. Beneath the timeless exterior is state-of-the-art technology: equipped with the Blaupunkt Codem IV high-end tuner, it offers FM and AM as well as DAB+ for excellent reception and sound. The integrated multicolor display can be shown either digitally or - just like in the old days - analog and can be operated using a rotary knob.

In addition to classic radio reception, the device impresses above all with audio streaming and hands-free telephony via Bluetooth, including access to the smartphone phonebook and voice assistants such as Siri or Google. There is also a USB charging function for cell phones, a steering wheel remote control connection and the option to deactivate ignition plus detection.

Last but not least, the nostalgia radio with various sound presets, 4-channel preamplifier output, sub-out and 4 x 75 watts (into 2 ohms) output power delivers a rich sound with a high level of operating convenience. The device can be installed in various dashboard installation slots. For example, the mounting material is supplied for axle mounting and 1-DIN installation slots. The expected market launch is in winter 2025, with a price of EUR 799.
