Mudetec, the Automobili Lamborghini museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese, reopened its doors to visitors on May 3. After being closed for the past few months due to the pandemic, the new exhibition "Future is our legacy" breathes new life into one of Lamborghini's most legendary locations.
The future is our legacy
The title of the exhibition is a reminiscence of the philosophy of Automobili Lamborghini, a company that is always ahead of its time with its strong focus on the future, yet never forgets to honor its roots. It is therefore no coincidence that the timing of the exhibition coincides with two important events: the 20th anniversary of the Mudetec and the 50th anniversary of the Countach.
As you would expect from Lamborghini, the two-storey exhibition is a perfect synthesis of innovation and tradition, the two souls of the brand with the bull. At the entrance is a breathtaking tunnel that ignites visitors' passion with the unmistakable sound of the V12 engine and a video about the iconic V12 models. On the first floor, the public is taken on a journey of discovery of the models produced between 1960 and 1990, from the Miura to the Diablo. This is followed by a leap into the futuristic design of the two latest visionary models, Essenza SCV12 and Vision GT.
In honor of the Countach
The undisputed star on the 1st floor is the Countach, which turns 50 this year. The model not only adorned the walls of an entire generation and became the star of the silver screen in numerous films, but also helped Lamborghini to achieve legendary status. Placed on a podium, the vehicle appears to be looking towards the models launched from 2000 onwards, which were clearly inspired by it in terms of both design and technology. The tour then leads to the limited edition models such as the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario and the first Lamborghini with hybrid technology, the Sián.
All-round digital and highly innovative activities under the banner of the Lamborghini brand round off the visitor experience. For the ultimate thrill, the driving simulator is of course also a must. But that's not all: with the "Social pass by card", the museum presents an absolute novelty. Visitors standing in front of the screens can have their photo taken with their favorite Lamborghini, share the picture on social media and take home the memory of this special day at a unique location.
Unfortunately, visitor numbers are still limited
The museum is open daily from May 3 from 09:30 to 18:00 (except August 15 and December 25). Last admission is at 17:00. In accordance with current government regulations to contain the pandemic, admission is limited to a maximum of 12 visitors every half hour. Wearing a mask is mandatory.
