From October 9 to 12, 2014, the Zoute Grand Prix will once again take place in the heart of Knokke-Heist in Belgium.
A varied program with 6 individual events
The fifth edition of the Zoute Grand Prix once again offers an attractive and varied program this year. The four-day classic car event includes the Zoute Top Marques exhibition with 14 podiums featuring the latest models from 14 renowned car brands, the Zoute Rally, a two-day Concours d'Elégance, the Zoute Bonhams Sale and the final Zoute GT Tour, a tour of around one hundred exclusive and modern GTs. New this year is the Zoute Expo, where British, Italian and German classic cars and new cars will be exhibited. These are six events over four days where impeccable mechanics, gleaming metal and exclusive quality workmanship from yesteryear will take center stage.
Rally, concours and auction
On the first day of the event, Thursday, October 9th, the technical checks and the first tests for the following regularity tests of the Zoute Rally will take place. These will determine the starting order for the rally. In addition, the Zoute Top Marques exhibition will open on Thursday and the Zoute Sale will also start that morning.
On Friday, the starting signal will be given for the Zoute Rally, for which 170 classic cars have registered. Over the course of the morning, the participants will then drive the regularity and the "drive". There will also be a speed test on the way and the "Flying 1/4 Mile" will take place in the afternoon. The exhibition and auction of the Zoute Grand Prix are also open on Friday.
On Saturday, October 11, the rally cars will once again take it in turns to set off on a trip through the hinterland. Both the participants in the regularity drive and the "strollers" will follow an ingenious but picturesque route through the West and East Flanders region. In the evening, all the cars are expected back and welcomed in the VIP tent, before the awards ceremony and gala dinner take place in the evening and the Zoute Rally is officially concluded.
The Zoute Expo and the Concours d'Elégance start on Saturday and continue until Sunday evening.
The Zoute GT Tour rounds off the Zoute Grand Prix on Sunday and is the last event of the weekend.
