On March 12, 2017, famous movie cars will relive times gone by at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Beautiful cars have always been part of the movie scene. And there are some cars that have become almost as famous as the films in which they appeared. Nine such celebrities will be on display at Amelia Island in 2017.
Among them is James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 from the film "Goldfinger" (1964), one of the many cars made famous by 007. Not only Sean Connery but also Steve McQueen was often seen behind the wheel of today's classics, for example in his films "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1968) and "Le Mans" (1971) in which he was allowed to drive a Royce Silver Shadow Two-Door Sedan, a Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Nart Spyder and the Porsche Gulf 917K.
Also included is the Corvette Stingray prototype from Elvis Presley's "Clambake" (1967), the Woodill Wildfire from "Johnny Dark" (1954), the Chevrolet Impala from "American Graffiti" (1973). the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider from "Gummiball Rally" (1976)", the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Riviera Salamanca from Sabrina (1954) and of course the Buick Roadmaster Convertible from Rain Man (1988).
This line-up of legendary vehicles will hopefully bring back as many fond memories as possible.
