The classic car and parts market (OTM) will take place in the Eulachhalle in Winterthur on the weekend of November 16 and 17. An experience for all classic car and youngtimer fans - for people who dream of model series and engine numbers at night.
New management, new concept, new venue
Now that the Ford Club of Switzerland has decided to discontinue the legendary classic car and parts market, Georg Frei and Pierino H. Keller are venturing a new start. To this end, they have founded GP Event GmbH.
The two classic car enthusiasts have developed a new concept, extended the event to two days and found an ideal venue with ample parking in the Eulachhalle in Winterthur. The market is open on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Automobile and motorcycle history from different eras
At the classic car market, you will find almost everything related to historic vehicles. Sophisticated restored and unrestored automobiles and two-wheelers, countless small parts - sometimes even long-sought trouvailles - as well as valuable specialist literature and automobilia.
Youngtimers too
Youngtimers" are now also welcome, collectors' vehicles that do not yet belong to the classic car category but have been on the road for over 20 years. The collection of rarities is also interesting for visitors who don't want to buy anything, but just want to enjoy the special atmosphere.
One of the highlights will be the "Charger" with "Blower" engine, the original vehicle from the 2001 US action film "The Fast and the Furious", which is set in the illegal street racing and tuning scene.
Moderate admission prices
The market will be open from 09:00 to 17:00 on both days, and admission prices are moderate at CHF 10 for an adult, CHF 5 for young people (14-18 years) and free for children up to 14 years. Those who come for two days will receive a ticket for CHF 15.
The costs for exhibitors are not excessive either, a normal stand costs CHF 250, a large stand CHF 450. Details can be found on the event website.
TCS with test station on site
As a special attraction, the classic car and parts market, in cooperation with the TCS Zurich section, is offering a short test for a general condition check of classic and vintage cars. The test can be used to determine the condition of vehicles built up to 1993. TCS vehicle experts will carry out the test; the fee is CHF 20.
Further information and the opportunity to register as an exhibitor can be found on the organizer's website. And yes, there are still spaces available if you hurry.
