The current situation surrounding the spread of Covid-19 is the reason why the 45th edition of the Oldtimer & Parts Market Switzerland, the largest and oldest classic car fair in Switzerland, but also one of Forum Fribourg's most important annual events, has had to be canceled.
The event was due to take place on March 21 and 22 and is attended by more than 20,000 people over the two days. Almost 350 exhibitors were currently registered. Events after March 2020 are not affected by this decision.

The current situation caused by the rapid global spread of the Corona virus and the recommendations, guidelines and bans issued by the federal and cantonal authorities in connection with the origin of the participants at the OTM (Europe-wide) have forced the Forum Fribourg to take this tough and sad decision. Also fundamental to this decision is the general fear of the population, which could mean a financial risk for the exhibitors.
"Employees and partners have been working on this project for many months. It is extremely frustrating, but given all the reasons mentioned above, as well as out of respect for our suppliers, sponsors and exhibitors, who also have to prepare and organize themselves now, we could not under any circumstances wait until 15 March to make a decision," regrets Joseph Vonlanthen, Director of Forum Fribourg.
The special exhibition on Swiss Army vehicles, motorcycles and equipment planned for this occasion will be postponed to the next edition of the OTM on March 27 and 28, 2021. It will commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Fribourg racing driver Jo Siffert, who died in a tragic accident in 1971.
