The unique, circular baroque garden of Schwetzingen Palace will once again be the arena for an automotive journey through time this year, with hundreds of selected classic vehicles from a wide range of eras on display in the order of their years of manufacture.
Whether steam or electric cars, motorized carriages, small cars of the economic miracle or even state cars and clever individual developments - from September 1 to 3, 2023, the Classic Gala will show how the automobile has developed over the last 120 years and how important design is for its success.
Six special shows
60 years of Lamborghini, 75 years of Porsche, 125 years of Renault and 70 years of the Chevrolet Corvette will be celebrated in special line-ups.
And for the first time, there will be a "Centennaire Class" for cars that are 100 years old this year.
In addition, the 11th US Classic Car Concours will take place as a concours within the concours.
New "Jubilee classification"
A new "Jubilee Classification" will be introduced for all vehicles with "round birthdays", i.e. 100 years of MG, 60 years of Mercedes 600 and Pagoda, as well as Porsche 911 and all those that can credibly claim round birthdays. This is intended to raise awareness of how young some senior citizens still look...
Visitors can look forward to seeing around 200 classic cars on display in the magnificent surroundings of Schwetzingen Palace.
