The tenth edition of the Eifel Rallye Festival was planned for July 22-24, 2021 in the Volcanic Eifel around Daun. However, the world's largest rally museum on wheels will not open its doors again until 2022. "The Eifel Rallye Festival lives from its participants and the thousands of fans. The demonstration drives of the historic rally treasures, the enthusiastic fans in the Rally Mile with their autograph requests and petrol talks. The worldwide meeting of drivers, team members and fans with the shared reminiscing - that's what makes our festival so special," explains organization manager Otmar Anschütz (Daun).
"Unfortunately, that's exactly what we can't guarantee. There is currently no hope that there will be freedom to travel in July, at least in Europe, which would make our festival possible in the familiar manner and variety. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have decided to extend our patience for another 12 months." Postponing the festival to the autumn is not an option, as the town of Daun can only make a lot of its infrastructure available to the organizer during the vacations. However, the organizer would also like to thank the municipalities, the authorities involved, the sponsors and helpers. "As always, they have all supported us with the preparations over the past six months and are the guarantors of the success of our event."
Anschütz renews his promise from last year: "We have a lot planned for the tenth anniversary. Now we'll just work on the preparations for another year and celebrate a great tenth edition together with EVERYONE in July 2022!"
