July 31, 2016 marks the 9th time that the Traversée estivale de Paris will take a wide variety of classic bikes across the French capital under the motto "Départ en Vacances".
Spectators can expect a colorful mix of around 740 classic vehicles built up to 1978, including historic cars and motorcycles as well as various tractors, buses and bicycles. As every year, classic cars from over 100 brands and around 200 different models will be on display.
The tour starts on the forecourt of the Château de Vincennes and leads through the most beautiful streets of the French capital, past various sights to the terrace of the Paris Observatory.
At the end, the participants and all other interested parties meet with their vehicles on the lawn on the terrace of the Observatory de Paris. There they can enjoy not only the magnificent view over the west of Paris but also a picnic together in the midst of the cars. The perfect opportunity to see the vehicles up close and have an interesting conversation about the most beautiful classic cars.
