On Sunday, September 4, 2022, two-, three- and four-wheeled classics met for the fifth time on the Huba Control grounds and on the new Tägerhardring in Würenlos. Around 750 vehicles arrived over the course of the Sunday, and around 3,000 visitors enjoyed the old sheet metal and iron.
Old vehicles are very popular - with owners as well as the general public. This was impressively demonstrated by the fifth Lägern Classic: once again, the interest shown by participants was very high.
Peter is a classic car fan
In glorious summer weather, the first oldies were already waiting for admission at 8.30 a.m., and from then until the early afternoon hours there was a lively coming and going. At times, the entrance control and the marshals had their hands full.
The new traffic and parking management system on the Tägerhardring with its circular traffic pattern proved its worth. There was hardly any congestion on the festival site and every vehicle found a space.
This was also due to the fact that over the course of the Sunday, participants repeatedly took their oldies and youngtimers on the Lägern Cruise, a photo hunt with attractive prizes to be won. This meant that the spectators were able to see classic cars in motion time and again.
Without incident
Dino Graf from the organizing association Lägern Classic: "It was great to see so many smiling faces. No breakdowns or other incidents marred the event. Cool sound from the band Sleepy Joe and various culinary offerings were an invitation to linger. We only heard good things from the participants and visitors. Even if the Lägern crew is a bit 'exhausted' after such a day, we are already motivated for the next event."
