On Sunday, September 5, 2021, two-, three- and four-wheeled classics will meet for the fourth time on the grounds of Huba Control in Würenlos - after the great success of recent years. The popular cruise around the Lägern will now be part of the program. The Lägern Classic lasts from 9 am to 4 pm.
Now more than ever!
Old vehicles enjoy great popularity - among owners as well as the general public. This has been impressively demonstrated by the first editions of the Lägern Classic: Up to 900 cars and motorcycles and up to 5,000 visitors gathered in Würenlos before Corona.
With Corona and the associated restrictions in 2020, it was clear to the organizing association that no "classic" Lägern Classic would take place in 2020. But it was not going to happen without classic cars. That's why the association organized the Lägern Classic Cruise with start and finish in Würenlos. The route led around the Lägern. In cool, albeit dry weather, around 250 classic and vintage car owners responded to the call - a complete success!
In 2021, the organizing association Lägern Classic now wants to bring the two forms, meeting and cruise, together. On the one hand, there will once again be a meeting at the usual location on the grounds of Huba Control AG in Würenlos, and on the other hand, there will once again be a cruise around the Lägern, with a photo hunt where there will be attractive prizes to be won.
Still two challenges
Stefan Mathys, OC President, comments. "We face two challenges in 2021. On the one hand, we don't know what the coronavirus situation will be like in September, and on the other hand, we have a different traffic situation on the event site this year. In addition, our experience last year was that classic car drivers not only like to exchange ideas at a meeting, but also enjoy driving their classics."
The fourth edition will now take place on Sunday, September 5. Once again, Würenlos will be the venue for friends of old sheet metal and iron, regardless of whether they have two, three or four wheels.
"There is evidence that there are many classic vehicles in the Limmat Valley catchment area, so there needs to be an opportunity to showcase and marvel at them. We are glad that other classic car enthusiasts also see it that way," say the members of the organizing association Lägern Classic with conviction.
Proven concept
Things get underway at 9 a.m. when the festival grounds around Huba Control AG at Industriestrasse 17 open. This is when the technical and motoring discussions can begin.
Either directly at the Oldie or in the covered catering area, which offers a varied range of food and drink. Or you can marvel at one of the special exhibitions organized by the OC.
Admission costs just five francs per vehicle, and vehicles built up to 2001 are eligible to participate. Admission is free for visitors.
Further information can be found on the event website.
