The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) has finally come to an end and Paris, with just over 20 brands, was a much smaller stage on which mainly domestic manufacturers presented themselves. The impression is that motor shows in Europe are still struggling with difficult conditions.
The omens for the 37th Auto Zürich, which will take place at Messe Zürich from November 7 to 10, are therefore still challenging. But it almost seems as if the Limmat is now playing in a league of its own: For the third time in a row, Auto Zürich is reporting record bookings.
"The vehemence with which registrations have been received for the upcoming edition exceeds anything we've ever seen before," says President Karl Bieri. And there are also grounds for optimism when it comes to ticket sales. "Most consumers don't want additional online premieres, but rather close-up live events to provide orientation and help them make decisions without excessive marketing spectacle. People want to touch, try out, compare trunks or let car doors fall into the lock."
With 70 brands, the stand areas in Halls 1 to 7 offer significantly more variety than even international formats recently. This means that visitors can experience the most diverse range of current everyday and dream brands live.
Speaking of dream brands: Auto Zürich CLASSIC in Hall 6 of Messe Zürich is being massively expanded: in future, small series from top automotive segments will also be on display alongside the offerings of established classic car specialists such as Dönni Classic Cars (Jaguar), Emil Frey, Lutziger, Swiss Classic Car and Touring Garage. This newly arranged interplay of top products from the present and the past stands for a very special blend of automotive fascination and will in future bear the name Auto Zürich MANUFAKTUR & CLASSIC.
The latest module in Auto Zurich's portfolio, the "EV EXPERIENCE", is also on the upswing. The cross-brand consultation and test drive center for electric vehicles is entering its fourth round. Visitors can choose from the largest portfolio of 30 battery-powered vehicles to date and book them online for test drives with immediate effect. In addition, there will be a consulting module on technology and infrastructure topics created in collaboration with Avia Volt. Auto Zürich EV EXPERIENCE sees itself as a platform for simple and comprehensive access to the topic of electromobility.
Tickets and test drives can now be booked online via the new Auto Zürich website, where further information on the 37th Auto Zürich can also be found.
