Everything on four wheels that is rare, exclusive and extraordinary finds its stage at this PS Festival - an extravagant variety of classic cars, young classics, historic motorsport and much more.
This year's line-up includes several Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs from the 1950s, which Brabus Classic will be presenting following an uncompromising six-star restoration. Several dealers will be bringing exciting classic cars to Essen from the Classic Remise Düsseldorf. AutoClassic from Riga will also be on site. The experts from Latvia will be showcasing their carefully restored sports cars from the 1950s and 1960s.
In addition to often customized automotive works of art and high-quality offers, around 25 renowned international dealerships will also be presenting attractive offers in affordable price segments at the Classic & Prestige Salon. Popular modern classics from Germany, England, France or Italy, many built in the 1990s, offer attractive destinations especially for younger buyers in Hall 1 and Hall 2.
Everything to do with classic automobiles is represented. Around 120 professional exhibitors offer accessories and automobilia, tools and services, as well as literature, model cars and art. Presentations by numerous clubs in the Club Forum open up opportunities for discussions and valuable tips.
The main attraction of the Salon will be the special shows organized by S.I.H.A. in the heart of Hall 1. This year, the fascinating Jaguar E-Type will be celebrating its 60th birthday. Visitors will be able to see a Coupe and a Roadster, both from the first series.
The spectacular triumph of three Ford GTs in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans 55 years ago will also be honored. A historic GT40, a GT3 racing car and a current Ford GT will provide an insight into the fascinating success story of this racing model.
At the same time, Ford Cologne looks back on the founding of the plant 90 years ago. The successful Ford Capri RS 2600, which won the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps (and many others) in 1971, will be congratulated. It is joined by a second racing Capri, the RS 3100, and the Ford Escort Mk I Valtellina Group 2. A few Ford T models over 100 years old round off the picture.
There is also applause for the Vespa at the Classic & Prestige Salon: the Italian cult scooter is 75 years old this year. Two exciting and rare exhibits celebrate the dolce vita on two wheels.
In Hall 2, the racetrack professionals from ChromeCars will be presenting around two dozen exquisite originals, including Jesse's VW Jetta from "The Fast and the Furious" and the Ford Mustang Eleanor from "Just 60 Seconds". The official Scuderia Ferrari motorhome, once driven by Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, will also be parked on the stand. Other popular movie cars will be on display, including the X-34 Landspeeder from the space saga "Star Wars".
This year, PS.SPEICHER from Einbeck will be a guest at the Classic & Prestige Salon for the first time. It is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Berlin AVUS with a Borgward RS 1500, a successful racing sports car of its era that won several class victories.
The Touring Car Legends racing series, which was founded in 2019, is also part of the exhibition. The focus is on around ten racing touring cars from the 1980s and 1990s. The core is made up of cars such as the Audi V8, the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz 190 2.5-16 Evo 1 and Evo 2 and the Opel Vectra STW. In addition, exotic cars in circuit trim such as the Fiat Ritmo, the Rover Vitesse and the Alfa Romeo 75 provide variety.
The special exhibition of the ADAC Nordrhein presents a comprehensive look back at over 100 years of automobile history. Several vehicles tell their stories here, including a Hanomag Kommissbrot, which was already in use as a road patrol vehicle in 1928. As a large association, the AvD is not missing either. Among other things, it offers visitors to the Classic & Prestige Salon the opportunity to test their skills in a driving simulator.
The results of the international Concours d'Elégance, which will once again be one of the highlights of this year's Classic & Prestige Salon, are also eagerly awaited by dealerships and the public alike. In this beauty contest, the jury of renowned classic car experts will award a world cup to the most elegant automobile from the trade range as "Best of Show". Prizes are also awarded in various classes.
In keeping with tradition, the organizer S.I.H.A. is once again supporting charities with its charity campaigns in 2021. The KinderHerz foundation, which raffles off a race lap with endurance racing driver Timo Bernhard, is a welcome regular guest, as is Lebenshilfe Gießen with its successful classic car donation campaign.
It is the multitude of attractions that makes the Classic & Prestige Salon at Europe's largest annual motor show the top meeting place for all car enthusiasts. Whether young newcomers, active collectors or enthusiastic connoisseurs: the Classic & Prestige Salon offers them all a good opportunity to take a first look at the upcoming world fair for classic automobiles - the 33rd Techno Classica Essen. It will open its doors in March 2022.
