The traditional Oldtimer Grand Prix Safenwil is celebrating its 25th birthday: the region's most popular classic car event will take place for the 25th time on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10:00 to 17:00. In addition to numerous rare vintage vehicles, motorcycles can also be admired.
Bigger and bigger
What started small and modestly 25 years ago has now developed into an important date in the calendar of all classic car fans: Every year at the beginning of September, the Oldtimer Grand Prix Safenwil takes place on the grounds of Emil Frey AG, an event known far beyond the canton of Aargau.
Guest clubs MG Rover and Amicale Peugeot have been secured for the anniversary, each of which will enrich the already attractive field of participants with a group of vehicles.
Vehicles, not stationary vehicles
Rarities of all makes from 1970 and earlier, including some gems from the Emil Frey Museum, can be admired on the secured race track. The drivers proudly present their oldies on the track in the Autocenter Safenwil area, some of them dressed in original tenues from past eras - a nostalgic and fascinating journey through time that is not to be missed.
Once again this year, the Friends of Old Motorcycles (FAM) will round off the spectacle and present their motorcycles and sidecars on the race track and in the paddock.
Further attractions
In addition to the attractive field of participants, the Classic Center Switzerland's collection of classic cars can also be viewed on the other side of the highway. You can be chauffeured to the Classic Center in an original London bus.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary, attractive and exclusive items can also be purchased on the site to mark the occasion - be it fine cigar boxes or high-quality wallets.
Co-exhibitors will also be offering various items such as model cars or vintage car insurance advice.
The various Grandprix Beizli will, of course, provide refreshments. As always, admission is free and there are over 1000 free parking spaces available for visitors.
Further information can be found on the event website.
