At the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 16/17, 1995, McLaren achieved overall victory with the F1 GTR.
But not only that, other cars finished in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th position - truly a triumph for the BMW 12-cylinder engine-powered sports car with a central seating position. No wonder the road-going version of the McLaren F1 also became a first-class classic, which today is worth many times its original price.
20 years after the Le Mans triumph, McLaren is now launching an anniversary model based on the current model range. With the support of Peter Stevens, who designed the F1 at the time, the McLaren 650S Le Mans model has been designed in the style of its famous predecessor. Only 50 examples of the anniversary model will be produced.
