Planning for the 17th Arosa ClassicCar in September 2021 is already in full swing. Every year, the event attracts many enthusiastic car fans to Arosa to watch the racing action on the 76 bends from Langwies to Arosa. The 7.3 km long race track with a total elevation gain of 422 meters will once again be the venue for motorsport enthusiasts this year and the organizing committee is optimistic that the Arosa ClassicCar 2021 can be held with spectators.
Successful implementation in 2020 despite Corona with special precautions
In 2020, an unforgettable Arosa ClassicCar was once again held in glorious sunshine. Thanks to various special precautions, the international hill climb between Langwies and Arosa could be held. Despite the protective measures and the restriction of 1,000 people in the core event zone, the race was a unique experience and attracted many Arosa ClassicCar fans along the route.
Proven and new for 2021
The hill climb is to be held from September 2 to 5, 2021, as in previous years. It will be possible to start in various categories such as regularity (Classic & Sport Trophy), competition (Standard & Formula) and demonstration class (Alpine Performance).
New this year is the possibility to register a co-driver in the "Arosa Classic Trophy" category. The entry tool for registration is now available online. The success of the Arosa ClassicCar is based, among other things, on the kind help of many volunteers along the route and in the village.
Registration for the marshals is also already open. Among all Marshals who register by April 30, 2021, a 2-day stay in Arosa including hotel accommodation and a performance at the Arosa Humorfestival 2021 will be raffled off.
New hope for major events in Switzerland from summer 2021
The Federal Council has announced further opening plans in recent days - including new guidelines for events. It gives the tourist destination of Arosa great hope that the event season can also get underway with the start of the summer season in mid-June 2021. The anticipation for the summer event highlight - the Arosa ClassicCar from September 2 to 5, 2021 - is of course particularly palpable among locals and Arosa fans.
