Velden am Wörthersee will host the International Rolls-Royce & Bentley Meeting for the 15th time this year. From June 27 to July 1, the owners of these luxury brands will be exhibiting their impressive vehicles and completing an extensive program in large parts of Carinthia and Styria. Participants from Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria are expected, with the highlight being the parade at the Veldener Seecorso on June 30.
The Carinthians and vacation guests can expect a real feast for the eyes: the participating cars range from a Rolls-Royce DHC EX Maharajah from 1924 to a Rolls-Royce Phantom from 1928, a Bentley Continental built in 1955 and a Bentley S 1 from 1957 to the famous Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow from 1976. Of course, more recent models such as the Bentley Brooklands (1993), the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph (1999) and the Bentley Arnage from 2000 are not to be missed.
A very special "treat" of the event will undoubtedly be a Bentley from 1924. This fast racing car originally had a 3-liter engine, which was later replaced by a 4.5-liter engine. The 94-year-old car has been extremely successful in a number of classic car competitions in recent years. At the Rolls-Royce & Bentley meeting, however, it will only take part in the parade on Saturday.
Participants in the meeting can choose between two options: They can either arrive on June 27 or on June 28. All those who arrive on the first day will travel via Villach to the eastern shore of Lake Weissensee, the Windische Höhe into the Gailtal valley and back to Velden via Lake Faak on June 28. From Friday, 29 June, the program will be completed together. On this day, the route goes via Krumpendorf, Moosburg, Maria Saal, Brückl and Hüttenberg to St. Lamprecht Abbey in Styria and on to the lunch stop in Karchau. The return journey is via Lasnitz near Murau, the Metnitz Valley, Feldkirchen and Pörtschach.
Something very special awaits guests with their luxury cars on Saturday, June 30: a drive up the Pyramidenkogel, where they can enjoy the magnificent all-round view of Carinthia's lakes, mountains and towns. The car will be parked directly in front of the 100-meter observation tower and lunch will be served in the Schlossstadl in Keutschach am See. At 5.30 pm, the big parade starts at the lake parade in Velden. After breakfast together on Sunday, July 1, the participants of the 15th Rolls-Royce & Bentley Meeting will return home.
