The Winter RAID will take place for the 14th time next January. During the day you drive over snow, ice and many mountain passes, in the evening you enjoy the mountain air or the luxury hotel offers. The start and finish are in St. Moritz, with four rally days in between, during which you drive through four countries.
WinterRAID ambience
Winter rallying in the mountains is a very special experience. Mountain peaks, steep passes, beautiful morning and evening light moods, but also snowstorms, ice, freezing cold, dark nights and headlights in the snow. Taking part in a rally in winter is a challenge - everything is a little different in winter.
The 2017 route leads from St. Moritz to Arosa, then into Tyrol to Seefeld, finally to the Kaiser Mountains and via the German Alpine Road back through the Vinschgau Valley to St. Moritz. So there are plenty of beautiful roads and magnificent panoramas on offer.
Driving a classic car in winter?
When classic cars were still new, they also had to survive the winter, usually without the luxury of salted or ploughed roads. A few protective measures should of course still be taken, but otherwise nothing stands in the way of driving a classic car in winter.
Registration deadline is November 30, 2016.
