In 1926, the Maserati brothers presented their first automobile, the Tipo 26, named after its year of release, a GP car with a 1.5-litre DOHC inline eight-cylinder engine with 125 hp, which won its class at the Targa Florio on May 2, 1926 with Alfieri Maserati and Guerino Bertocchi.
The 22nd International Concours d'Elegance ASC-Classic-Gala Schwetzingen from August 28 to 30, 2026 will therefore be dedicated to this Maserati anniversary, in which faithful Maserati of all types can participate. Initial commitments from the Maserati 250 F, 6C, 3500 GTi, Mistral, Quattroporte, Ghibli, Khamsin, Bora, Merak and others have already been received - it is set to be a festival of the brand with the trident.
The Maserati model range is known to be extensive and also includes many special bodies and racing cars.
Schwetzingen is conveniently located in the southwest of Germany, close to Heidelberg, and can be reached from Zurich or Düsseldorf in just over three hours. With a Maserati it may be even quicker.
Applications for participation will be accepted until July 1, 2026 on the Concours website, where further information about the event is also available.
