Description
In the mid-1980s, Lothar Rothenheber began his solid training as a vehicle mechanic in the vehicle workshop of Stadtwerke Mannheim - now MVV Energie AG. Starting with servicing and repairing company vehicles from cars to trucks as well as various commercial vehicles and equipment, including chainsaws and sweepers. His interest in sporty vehicles and their engines already grew during his training.
Parallel to the day-to-day business at the municipal utilities, Lothar Rothenheber devoted himself to the overhaul and construction of Porsche sports engines. In 1992, Lothar Rothenheber moved to the company H&H Motorsport in Lampertheim, where he was entrusted with the construction and development of turbo and supercharged engines, primarily based on BMW and Porsche vehicles. This also included servicing Mercedes and Ferrari vehicles. From 1995 to 1997, Lothar Rothenheber also completed his training as a master mechanic in the evening school course, which he successfully completed.
At the end of 1998, Lothar Rothenheber moved to Switzerland to work for Digit Power. Here he added sports engines based on Audi, Subaru and Mitsubishi.
In order to devote himself even more intensively to engine construction, Lothar Rothenheber moved to Eggenberger Motorsport AG in 2004 and founded Eggenberger Motorenbau AG together with Ruedi Eggenberger in 2005. Lothar Rothenheber has been the owner and managing director of Eggenberger Motorenbau AG since 2009.
The activities of Eggenberger Motorenbau AG, which was founded in 2005, focus on optimizing the performance of road and racing vehicles. Consulting, development and trading of tuning products, as well as the operation of an engine revision center, from road, sports and racing engines to youngtimers and classic cars, are part of the broad range of services.
