This vehicle is not comparable with other MG RV8s offered here. This RV8 5.0 Litre RHD is on a different level in terms of performance, equipment and condition. Please read the text carefully to understand the unique selling points.
In the early 1990s, the traditional British brand MG was part of the Rover Group. From 1992-1995, the MG Rover Group produced a completely revised version of the successful MGB model with an improved chassis, limited slip differential and the classic aluminum V8 with 3,946 cc, which had its origins in Buick. The interior with elm burl wood and Connolly leather met luxury standards.
In total, only around 2000 MG RV8s were built, exclusively as right-hand drive (RHD) models. Most of these were exported to Japan, some to Australia and the rest remained in the UK. In continental Europe, the MG RV8 remained largely unknown as an RHD.
The vehicle on offer is a Japanese re-import (with air conditioning), which was extensively converted from right-hand drive to left-hand drive (LHD). A power steering system (EZ Electric Power Steering) was retrofitted, which makes the car much more comfortable. The standard version with a 4.0 liter V8 is already well motorized; however, the vehicle on offer has the 5.0 liter Rover V8, which enables exceptional acceleration. The dashboard was built in original elm root wood by a wood technician specializing in historic Rolls Royces. The vehicle is accident-free and has been completely repainted with the original paint (Rover Royal Bule).
There are only a few MG RV8s converted to LHD in the world, most of them without servo and without air conditioning. This vehicle is one of a kind and will delight the enthusiast who is looking for a unique automobile. This MG RV8 combines the sporty lines of an English roadster with the elegance of a Rolls Royce Corniche. It impresses with its superior engine with reliable large-scale production technology and the inimitable V8 sound. This MG RV8 is individual driving pleasure and pure understatement.
